Day 10

We have arrived in Besançon tonight and have covered 100 miles (160 km). The weather was mainly good apart from a short rainy spell in the afternoon...but we were ok with our matching waterproofs!

Today the terrain was pretty much the same as yesterday - some climbs but mainly flat. We got a really good lunch in a small town called Bourbonne and this filled us up nicely for the day.

We're catching up with some of the action from the tour de france just now but we'll be going to bed soon so we can make an early start tomorrow. We intend to get to Pontarlier before lunch time so that we have time to fix-up the bikes and get a good rest before we start the 15th stage of the tour de france. Apart from that there's not much to report - it has been a very standard day.
