Day 7

Today has been quite eventful but also quite tiring. The french roads were hard to get used at first, and on many occassions we found ourselves on motorways by accident, which forced us to walk large distances with the bikes in order to get off then. This was quite demoralising, and with a lunch of steak and pasta in a bath of hot starchy water, literally, and our spirits reached an alltime low, so it wasn't that much of a surpise when we finnished the day with having only done little over 80 miles. However we are still confident we will make up for our lost distance over the nexy few days and i am certain in tomorrows update you will see we have a lot more.
Goodnight

Hi guys --- take today in stride-- you are bigger than these setbacks... although the meal does not sound as if it was too great--and too bad about the hiway incidences--- nevertheless you are hardy Scots--- NEVER TO BE BEATEN and although 80 miles to you may not seem much progresS,to all of us here and there it is monumental-- as is the task you have set for yourselves... be kind to yourselves-- get some rest and onward and upward..... tomorrow is another day. take care and good luck----- your Canadian cheerleaders
